...even the very long and intersting ones.
I am home earlier than I have initially planned, the only country I really d'like to visit, but wasn't possible this time is Kazakhstan, but I hope I will do that some ohter time. When I think that I havent planned alot in advance, I could be pretty happy about the journey. There were some things which went not the way I have planned, for example I took the airplane more often than I wanted, which is one of the reasons why I was faster than initially expected.
And again due to recent events I want to tell you that I am sitting in an Internet-café in the Park Street in Kolkata.
There was a thread about a bomb blast today, in this street, but I didnt know that untill a TV Team asked me what I am thinking about it. Well I would have been in bed at the time when the blast was planned, still strange feeling, but in about one hour I'll take a taxi to the airport and will leave the country shortly after.
If you are india, you have to visit the Taj Mahal, its like the Eiffeltower and Paris or Australia and the Eyers Rock. The entry fees are quite high in comparison to other things in India, especially since India does a heavy dual pricing. (Indians (almost) always pay less)
I had a guide which told me about the history and and all the details about the craftmenship which was needed for this precious building...
Since yesterday 15o'clock (IST) there is an increase police presence on Indias Street.
One hour after the bomb explosions in Bangalore ( Blog from Bangalore ) the changes on the streets were already visible in all the large cities. Trainstations and public places had a sharp increase of security measures, they seemed like forts.
There is quite some police in the streets even on normal days, but now most of the policemen are heavily armed.
I found in the Computer Science Forum a link to an India Blog: interndia which is kind of a different point of view than my blog, he is describing his internship which he is doing in Bangalore, I think it's a good idea to link it from here.
Many of my Blogposts are written a bit humorous but especially in India not everything is funny. This post is dedicated for the more serious things, however its important that you dont lose your grim sense of humor even on this.
What can I tell you from India: pretty much, thats why I will split my comments a bit.
Why have I written so few lately? Let's put it like that: In Riga I had a nice full accessible Computer with nearly new Hardware and 2mbit upload.
At the moment I sit in front of a 15inch screen, with Windows 98, 128MB RAM, write in a Mozilla and the speed is about 56K. Well but at least its air conditioned here. The weather is quite comfy and cool today 24°C and 100% humidity, but I am still sweating instantly. But hey its better than 31°C and 100% humidity at 1 o'clock in the morning.
It is hot... the weather is sticky... and its raining regularly...
