I have thrown joomla into the wastebin.
Once more I saw that all those nice CMS Tools, dont fit my needs.
And you need quite some time to configure them anyway.
I have so much basic source code, I hope I keep adding features in the next few weeks.
Some features already using, smarty templating enging, gallery2, including my own bridge, a usabilty hack to use two different templates for gallery 2. And a recycled freenet gateway. But I want to integrate that better then in the version before. For editing Textes I will use the TinyMCE wysiwyg editor. Since I used that in V7, and it was very easy to set up, and such powerful and versatile, that I dont want to miss it here.
Next to come, a guestbook, and instead of this static message, a news / blog-style page for writing news. And some more features. I want to iclude a webmail client a simple event calendar, text managments, and a better way to download than download.apophis.eu
BTW: the site is available with SSH, ignore the warnings about self signed Certificates…
I already have similar functionality to the joomla approach, and I like it much more.
